REET syllabus for level I and level II

REET2022 syllabus:- REET is stand for Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers. It is state level compititive teaching exam and conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan to certify candidates for employment of teachers in the state.

The REET exam is an eligibility test to be conducted in two stages – level I and level II for teacher posts. Level I will be conducted for the candidates who aspire to become a teacher for classes I to V and level II will be conducted for the candidates who aspire to become a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

The detailed REET syllabus is in the article mentioned in the official notification. The candidates who are willing to become a teacher must qualify in the REET exam.

In this post we have mentioned the REET Syllabus for Level 1 and Level 2 in detail. The REET 2022 exam consists of objective type questions only. There are 150 objective type questions in REET exam without any negative marks.

A candidate can appear for either Level 1 and Level 2 exam or both. REET syllabus and exam pattern helps the candidate to plan the required strategy to qualify for the exam.

REET eligibility criteria for level I and II

Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) sets the age limit for REET 2022 according to which any candidate of any age group fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for the exam. There is no prescribed age limit for REET exam.

REET eligibility criteria for level I

  1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation, 2002.
  3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  5. Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

REET eligibility criteria for level II

  1. Graduation and passing or appearing in the final of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  2. Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  3. Graduation with minimum 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
  6. Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

REET exam pattern and syllabus for level I

Structure of question paper

All questions in REET level I will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.

  • There is no negative marking in REET exam.
  • Level 1 exam conducted for teachers of classes I to V.
  • Level 2 exam conducted for teachers of classes VI to VIII.
  • Total number of questions/marks is 150.
  • The duration of the exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

Nature and standard of questions

  1. The questions on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
  2. The questions in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction.
  3. The questions in Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  4. Language II will be a language other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one language as Language I and other as Language II from the available language options and will be required to specify the same in the Confirmation Page.
  5. The questions in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects.

  7. REET 2022 New Syllabus for Grade 3 Teachers Exam:

It is mandatory for the candidates who qualify the REET exam to appear in the Grade 3 teacher exam. The pattern and syllabus for this exam is given below.

Pattern of the exam

  • 150 questions will be asked in REET Grade 3 Teacher Exam.
  • Each question will be of two marks and will be awarded out of total 300 marks.
  • There is negative marking in this exam. 1/3 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Paper 1 is for class 1 to 5 and paper 2 is for class 6 to 8.

New Syllabus for REET Grade 3 Teachers Exam 2022 Paper 1

REET Grade 3 Teachers Exam has new syllabus given by Rajasthan Board. There will be negative marking of 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer. The level of content for REET Level-I will be of secondary level and difficulty level will be of higher secondary level.
